Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice

Lake Erie College, a small, co-educational, four-year, independent liberal arts college located in Painesville, OH, 30 miles east of Cleveland, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor of criminal justice to begin August 2018.

The successful candidate will be required to teach a range of undergraduate courses in the criminal justice curriculum and provide departmental service, including academic and career advising for criminal justice students and program development and management.

A Ph.D. in criminal justice or a closely-related discipline is required; the area of specialization is open. ABD candidates will be considered, but all degree requirements must be completed by August 2018. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching in a liberal arts college environment, have a record of scholarship or evidence of future scholarly productivity and be capable of developing local professional relationships to enhance student internship and experiential learning opportunities.
