School of Education Assessment Coordinator

The position of Assessment Coordinator for the School of Education leads to the development of a systematic assessment process to collect, analyze and use data for program continuous improvement and to maintain National and State accreditation compliance. The Assessment Coordinator must have a strong foundational experience with program accreditation at the National and State levels. The Lake Erie College School of Education and Professional Studies recently received 7 year TEAC approval with eligibility for CAEP in 2023.

Position Requirements: Full Time, 12 Month position. Teach up to 2-3 classes per academic year at the undergraduate or graduate level.

Required Credentials

PhD in Educational Assessment or related field. Candidates with a terminal degree in other disciplines with a strong background in Educational Assessment will also be considered

Position Expectations: Necessary Skills and Knowledge
  • Substantial experience with and knowledge of CAEP Accreditation Standards and Requirement
  • Ability to use Task Stream to build assessment platforms.
  • Experience organizing program assessments across licensure bands including; Early Childhood PreK-3rd, Special Education Mild to Moderate, AYA: Math, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts, Master’s of Education and Endorsements in Reading, TESOL and Gifted Intervention Specialist.
  • Ability to coordinate a system to establish validity and reliability of program assessments that meets CAEP standards.
  • Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses.
  • Experience completing Title 2, MRS Reports.
  • Maintain accreditation compliance by submitting CAEP Annual Reports to the Accreditation Information Management System (AIMS).
  • Maintain accreditation compliance with the Ohio Department of Higher Education. Collect required data and submit reports as required for program renewal.
  • Submit program proposals to Ohio Department of Higher Education.
  • Collaborate with admissions to establish and maintain incoming cohort data.
  • Collaborate with the Field and Clinical Director to establish evaluations for field and student teaching cooperating and supervising teachers.
  • Coordinate on-site State and National accreditation revisits.
  • Create and analyze program assessment reports and meet with responsible faculty to discuss assessment outcomes and set plans for program improvement.
  • Coordinate bi-annual Advisory Board Meetings and collect data from these meetings.
