Clinical Curriculum

Student clinical experiences are made possible through the generosity and dedication of clinical educators, our preceptors. Clinical educators provide a supportive and valuable clinical experience by integrating students collaboratively into direct patient care to demonstrate clinical competence and expand their knowledge. Clinical education includes supervision, observation, and performance feedback. Preceptors will receive a student evaluation at completion of each rotation.

Throughout each 4-week rotation, students obtain patient histories, perform physical examinations, develop differential diagnoses with treatment plans, refine procedural skills, and provide patient education. Though a web-based program, students log patient experiences, procedures, and complete end of rotation clinical site evaluations. Students are required to successfully complete three clinical seminar courses, end of rotation and objective structured clinical exams during the year.
