On Friday, August 5, 2016, Lake Erie College will honor the College's grand tradition of the arts as it hosts the inaugural Fine Arts Gala, an evening of extraordinary performances, food and drink. The event will take place from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Manor House, located on the grounds of the George M. Humphrey Equestrian Center at 8131 Morley Road in Concord, Ohio.
At the event, guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, a farm-to-table dinner, a silent art auction and live performances by artists include LEC artist-in-residence Joe Augustine and Metropolitan Opera veteran Heidi Skok.
The gala, along with other fine arts events planned for the fall, will raise the profile of the Arts at Lake Erie College. By attending, you can be part of the renaissance of the arts at LEC as the College carries this tradition into the future.
"This event is not just about supporting an institution that has been a pillar of the community for 160 years," said Dr. Bryan DePoy, vice president for academic affairs and chief academic officer. "It is an opportunity to celebrate the importance of the Arts to our community. As the only four-year institution of higher learning in our area, Lake Erie College plays a special role in serving the Arts and Culture needs of the region. The Arts are good for business; the Arts are a symbol of a strong community; the Arts are a means of communicating in ways to which we can all relate."
Tickets cost $150 per person and all proceeds will benefit the Arts at Lake Erie College. The event is cocktail attire/black tie optional. Please RSVP by Friday, July 22 at www.lec.edu/ARTSGala. For more information, contact Pam Palermo, director of development, at email@example.com.
