MBA 4+1 Inquiry

Regardless of major, Lake Erie College students who have completed at least 90 undergraduate semester credits with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 may register for up to 12 semester credits of courses in the Lake Erie College MBA program.  Successfully completed courses may be counted as elective credits towards bachelor’s degree completion and may also apply towards the 36 semester credits requirement for the MBA degree.

For students with strong academic credentials, Lake Erie College offers a unique opportunity—dual admission to our undergraduate and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs. Under this special 4+1 program, you will be admitted to the Lake Erie College Parker MBA program now, as you begin your college career, and will be on a path to earn both your bachelor’s and master’s degree in only five years.


  • 3.4 cumulative GPA (core classes only)
  • 24 ACT
  • 1120 SAT (math and critical reading)

This opportunity is open to you regardless of your chosen major. The combination of your chosen undergraduate major and the MBA will set you apart from the pack and position you for many different types of leadership roles and career opportunities.

Social science majors (such as psychology, criminal justice or political science) with an MBA are well suited for careers in non-profit and social service organizations, in leadership roles in public safety forces, or in human resource, training and development, and sales positions in the corporate world.

Communications and English majors can combine their strong writing and speaking skills with an MBA to go on to positions in advertising, public relations, marketing or social media.

Equine studies majors find an MBA useful preparation for a variety of careers in the equine industry such a facilities and event management, veterinary supply and nutritional companies, and a wide range entrepreneurial ventures (yes, staring a business of your own) that serve the equestrian market.

Accounting majors know that the MBA broadens their perspective on the business world. Those interested in becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) can gain the extra hours required to sit for the CPA exam while earning a graduate degree at the same time.

Business majors find that the MBA gives them a competitive edge throughout their career in dynamic fields such as finance, marketing, accounting, general management, logistics, sport management and global operations, In fact, in recent years, the MBA has become a required credential for advancement in many organizations and fields in business.
