Dr. Jerry Jaffe
Assistant Professor of Theatre
Professor Jaffe has his PhD from Bowling Green State University. He has directed or performed in over 100 shows. Jerry lived in Japan for many years, where he ran a community theater group called Bingo Parallax. Later, he lived in New Zealand, teaching and directing. His 2006 production of Shape of Things was chosen as one of the best plays in New Zealand that year.
Other recent productions include, Glengarry Glen Ross by David Mamet, God by Woody Allen, Stage Blood by Charles Ludlam, and a night of one acts by Samuel Beckett. He has co-edited the book Performing Japan: Contemporary Expressions of Cultural Identity, and he has published in journals such as Australasian Drama Studies, Theatre Annual, and Baylor Journal of Theatre and Performance, among others.
