Lake Erie College’s institutional advancement division will soon have a new leader at its helm. Following a national search, President Posler announced today that Anthony (Tony) Fulgenzio will join the College’s executive team as vice president for advancement, effective Nov. 27, 2017.
Fulgenzio has been a member of the advancement team at Gannon University in Erie, Pa. for the past 17 years. Currently serving as executive director of philanthropy and communications, his experience includes annual fund and planned giving initiatives as well as identifying, cultivating and stewarding major donors.
Since assuming that role in August 2009, Fulgenzio has brought in multiple million-dollar gifts to the University, including the largest, single gift in University history in March 2016. He previously served as director of major gifts at Gannon beginning in July 2000, a career change that came after nine years in broadcast news as an anchor-reporter and later as a producer and managing editor.
Fulgenzio’s talent for matching financial need with institutional values will amplify LEC’s capacity to support students.
“I am so pleased to welcome Tony to our team in this leadership position,” said President Posler. “He is an accomplished development professional and we look forward to his continued successes on behalf of our institution.”
The vice presidency is an exciting step forward in Fulgenzio’s career.
“I am thrilled to join the advancement team as we continue to engage alumni and share the great things happening at LEC,” he said. “I would like to thank Dr. Posler, the search committee, the deans, faculty and staff for this exciting opportunity to join the Lake Erie College family.”
Fulgenzio holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication arts (1982) and a Master of Education degree in leadership administration (2010), both from Gannon University.Back To News
